Kristy Stokes is the owner of The LAB Salon. She opened the LAB in 2009 in Hanapepe, and a year later relocated the salon to it's current beautiful location in her hometown of Kalaheo. Kristy is originally from Kauai and received her cosmetology license in 1996 in Honolulu. In 1998 she moved to Los Angeles to work as a hair and makeup artist. She worked in film, television, print and in Aveda salons, and had the opportunity to work with several celebrity clients. She furthered her salon skills by attending advanced education at Vidal Sassoon Academy. She assisted several talented stylists and trained under master stylist Takafumi Oiwa at Studio Taka in Laguna beach. She specializes in hair cutting, coloring, thermal straightening, special event updos and airbrush makeup. She is a licensed cosmetologist in the states of Hawaii and California. She is most proud of being mom to her two beautiful children, Kainoa and Maile.
